Growers Services has announced the acquisition of West Ag located in Ballarat, further expanding its presence in the Kubota dealership network.

The deal is expected to be finalised at the start of July and will take Grower Services to a total of six branches, demonstrating its strategic direction to growing its dealership presence.

Growers Services Director Steven Ayling said WestAg had the same passion for customers as Growers Services making the dealership a well-suited addition.

“Ballarat is a key agricultural region consisting of mostly mixed farming and Kubota machinery plays a key role in supporting customers with whatever job lays ahead,” Mr Ayling said.

“We are excited to welcome West Ag to our network and keep providing the exceptional service, support, and quality products that our customers have come to rely on.”

“With this expansion, we will be looking to learn from the local team but also improving the experience for customers where we see room for it. There are a lot of opportunities in the Ballarat market, it is a fantastic region with a lot of activity,” he said.

WestAg Director Simon Meagher said after 35 years of servicing the Ballarat rural region, he was pleased to be handing over the baton to Grower Services.

“Grower Services’ philosophy of looking after customers is what we have always done and I look forward to seeing continued growth and support for the West Ag branch,” Mr Meagher said.

General Manager Sales for Kubota Australia Peter Gloury said the news was welcome for such an important agricultural region.

“WestAg have done a great job over many years serving the needs of customers. I am confident that Growers Services will continue this given their track record of putting the needs of customers first.” Mr Gloury said.

Growers Services is a multiple Kubota dealer excellence award winner and five-star Kubota dealership group. It now has Kubota branches in Mildura, Renmark, Swan Hill, and Ballarat as well as two specialty branches in Berri and Griffith.
