What size excavator do I need for farm work?
As a guide, 1–2 tonne machines suit tight access, gardens and small trenches; 2.5–4 tonne machines cover most farm trenching, drainage and post holes; and 5 tonnes and above suits dams, land clearing and bigger civil jobs. Our sales team can help you choose.
Track loader or skid steer?
Track loaders spread their weight for soft or wet ground and slopes, while wheeled skid steers suit hard surfaces and yards and are cheaper to run on concrete and gravel.
